The Boat Name

every one knows Im brave enough to do the black Hull paint so I decided to do the boat name first as its a small area and easy to keep clean and taped off during the paint process. It will take about 60 to 80 real hours to complete. I painted my canvas and I am ready to start the lettering.

How I fund my boat project

This is for my father, Dad here is a picture of the truck 1933 Ford Model B with a Chevy 350. I am going to start a new blog for you and the owner. Tore the wood bed out today, Long way to go!! I Love you DAD!!

What we are after

This is a good idea of what we want our boat to look like. Not exactly but very close.

The Infamous Rudder pin

This rudder removal took 9 hours, 27 drill bits and alot more.... This pin was harden steel set inside of a brass shaft. Corrosion was extreme..

Front Window Inclosure With Yacht Style Window Painted

I have heard alot! Read alot about boats for off-shore fishing. To my understanding most hard-core fishers dont like front windows in case of wave impact. Since We can not afford A real nice fishing boat that We would like to sleep or stay in, We decided to close ours in. Its not easy to do it correctly with out it looking like a patch job... this Project is on going!  I layed wood insert tonight with no pics but you can expect to see alot very soon! I am doing just one window first! If I make a mistake its alot cheaper than two mistakes at the same time...

The Motor/ Velvet Drive Project

What a nightmare pulling a Motor in the back yard . I had to do what ever I could think of.  It didn't take long to find another motor and Transmission. Long road to getting them back in...Velvet Drive is trashed....

Transport Home...

GOT LUCKY! An old friend of 25 years was working for a Donzi dealer/ small marina owner. AKA boat mover! Just so happen the guy needed 2 doors painted and hung on his Ford F-350 and I needed our F-25 moved on land but had no trailor for an old single screw!! Weekend went well! I already had the paint, and he had gas!

The Purchase...

We bought the Trojan on Jan. 6th 2012 for 400$ from a guy that apperently had been given the boat from a couple that owed him 1500$ for roofing work. He was very nervous at the marina in Hampton, looking over his shoulder alot. I knew something was up but he had a clean title with matching numbers. The next day We went and started cleaning the boat out and pumping water out of her. Sure enough!!!! Marina owner came down and asked 100 questions about who we were. After a plesant 30 minute talk he tells us that the original owners were a great couple and were happy to hand over the boat to my PO, That hasnt paid his slip fees in 8 months!!! Needless to say we got the boat home ASAP in about 4 days. I was not about to pay this guys bill. I did give the marina all of his info though. I hope they got their money! WE wanted this project, WE wanted to save this boat!!!
